Welcome One and All

Recent Developments:

There have been many changes that this band has experienced since last July. Some have been welcomed, others... not so much. Regardless, we are alive and kicking strong. Lorie and Jim have been settling in quite nicely, and... we have been reclaiming much of the material that you all have grown to love from us. Certainly, new material has found its way into our repertoire, as well.

! ! ! Seeking Male Lead Guitarist w/ Lead & Backing Vocals:

As so many of you are musicians or know musicians, I am officially spreading the word...

We are in need of a male lead guitarist with lead and backing vocals, in the Akron, Ohio area. Sorry, ladies... we already have 2 female vocalists. Preferably, the new guitarist will have skills in both electric and acoustic guitars. Fellas... 12-strings are welcomed!

Our writing and goals are pretty specific. Yes, we still do covers (Animals, Byrds, CSN, Hank Sr., CCR, Beatles, Howlin' Wolf, Robert Johnson, Cream, Alman Bros., et cetera) to fulfill a variety of shows, but originals are what we choose to focus on.

I need someone who is into the 60's & 70's San Francisco/West Coast sound. Believe it or not, that is where our originals often find us... Even in Ohio. As most know, we play blues, jazz, groovin'- folky- hippy- retro-rock that touches at times on psychodelic, classical, and a lot of other sounds. Very often we have been compared to Jefferson Airplane & It's a Beautiful Day. Some have likened my vocals to Janis Joplin, Deborah Harry, Bonnie Raitt, and Grace Slick... Go figure... That's a hell of a mix!

Although it was not planned to channel any other artist, this is the sound that has naturally occurred. That is where I intend to stay, so please do not try to change my band. It will not happen.

Our new guitarist must have talent, strong leads, and a strong understanding of the above outline. Of course, professional gear and attitude are required. Personality is a must. This is not a garage band, and we are serious minded. Recording is definitely in our future, as well as commercial submissions, and playing to some impressive houses.

I and the rest of the band, are tired of training temporary guitarists that do not fit our requirements. If the right candidate would please step forward, then I can return to making music and maybe even keep this Website updated properly.

Although I have laid out somewhat strict guidelines, the musicians in this band always have opportunity to present their ideas and musical personalities. I am big on arrangements, and welcome input. I also welcome other writers. We work as a team, and move as a single unit.

You will find some recordings of the band in a prior incarnation right here under "Sound & Vision/Audio", or at http://www.mixposure.com_impliedlogic/, or http://www.reverbnation.com/impliedlogic . This is what the target is. Since these recordings, I have acquired a new rhythm player/female vocals, and a really kickin' drummer who also plays in a plastic box on Sundays... Yes, you read that correctly. I have many years as a bassist/female vocalist. We have been in existence for over 5 years, and are looking to be around for many more. There have been a few changes over the past 10 months, and the right lead player is the only missing element. And there you have it!

Oh yeah... you've got to have a sense of humor (and an appetite). If not, you won't last long. We are into good people that want to make great music, and enjoy the climb upward.

If you can groove with that we would love to talk to you.

Please feel free to contact me directly:

Current Activity:

GT is no longer with us, as his visions and ours were not syncing up. I could expound, but there would be no point in that.

In the interim... The "Maestro" DENNY COYLE from right here in Akron has been sitting in with us to fulfill our present schedule. Denny is not only a veteran guitarist, but damned good at it!!! He has played in some impressive venues with some impressive people over the years, including the Paper Crowns and the HiFi's!

We will be performing with the "Maestro" at northeast Ohio's premier private party ~ Ladopalooza ~ This year, as well as a return appearance at Suffest 2010 on August 14!

Recent Activity:

I had the wonderful opportunity to take part in the Summit County Songwriter's Showcase this year, held on May 8. As the format was quite different from years past, I had the privilege of performing together with my hero - Ed Amann, and the ever popular Moonflowers (Stephanie Serna, Bev Hutchins, & Marti Jeffers)! I had a blast working with these fine individuals, and am pretty sure that we stole the show!!! The video will hopefully be available soon...

Just prior to that event... and I do mean just prior... like within an hour... I pulled one of my suicide ventures by performing with the entire band for the first Blues & BBQ for the year in Suffield, earlier in the evening. What a kickin' time it was!

May 22 brought a very long day, lots of rain for a short time, and learning to swim all over again... For the 4th year standing, we took part in the Munroe Falls River Day Festival, along with Crooked Timber, new this year. Lorie & Jim did a little ditch digging, and Lou played while the ship sank. I of course, did what all good leaders do, and went into thinking mode and supervisory status. The gazebo took on lots of water, but thankfully nothing was damaged!

Needless to say, when we resumed the show, we were all wound tight. If you weren't there, then I don't know what to tell you. You missed one heck of a display... music, comedy, & the foolishness that we are famous for! I would like to thank everyone who came out, but especially: Barry, Tom, Christine, Bev, John, Jan, Bill, The Mayor, Laura & Family. Don't know the names of so many...

Speaking of rain... We missed our own parade. How do you do that(?), some may ask. Well... The flatbed truck and the Suffield Memorial Day Parade will just have to see what happens next year.

Looking Ahead:

New material is written, being written, & will be out to the stage soon. We have been given an unusual writing project that will be revealed in the near future, as well.

We will see you all soon!
